MANILA — The Land Transportation Office (LTO) district and extension offices in Metro Manila are now open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., providing greater accessibility for those unable to visit during weekdays.

This change, which started August 31, comes in response to increasing demand for driver’s licenses, license renewals, and vehicle registrations, as well as the LTO’s ongoing efforts to address a backlog that has persisted since 2023.

The additional Saturday operations are expected to expedite the application and registration processes for the public.

The following LTO offices will now operate from Monday to Saturday:

In contrast, Driver’s License Renewal Offices (DLROs) will remain open only from Monday to Friday. These offices are part of the LTO’s strategy to decentralize services, making it more convenient for motorists to renew licenses in locations like shopping malls.
